That Iron Taste Marika Hackman Rar Download
The year must have flown by for Marika Hackman. Not only did the countryside turned Big Smoke singer-songwriter release her debut mini-album That Iron Taste in 2013; she toured with the likes of Johnny Flynn and Laura Marling, featured on VEVO, worked with producer Charlie Andrews, and is about to head out on her first UK headline tour with Sivu. We tipped her for the top at the end of last year, and although she’s undeniably made moves to claim her title, her new Sugar Blind EP suggests the best is yet to come. There couldn’t be a more apt title for these four songs. Decorated by Marika’s trademark willowy vocal, the lyrics revolve around the sickly sweet and outright decrepit. Honey and cinnamon drench a relationship, leave dental decay in their wake, and see Marika emerges spitting and snarling, then aged and resigned.

This isn’t a concept album, but the songs – “Cinnamon”, “Itchy Teeth”, “Wolf” and “81” respectively – have been perfectly placed, preaching a tale only Marika could sing to the modern music scene. The maturity of the release is thanks to Hackman’s new found cohesiveness in the face of variety. On That Iron Taste, magical though the songs may be, there’s a sense that Hackman is struggling to break away from a specific type of song.
