Whizzer Engine Serial Numbers
I picked up a Schwinn Whizzer a couple of weeks ago for a restoration project. What year is my Schwinn Whizzer? Engine serial number H 127338. Rebuilding whizzer h engine! I don't know much about the whizzer engine in particular but on. Best way to start your project is to find out the serial number.
Pusher Registered: Posts: 28 Posted I've been looking at acouple of whizzers both with J motors. The problem is the serial numbers on both bike frames come up as being built in 1952. Location of serial numbers are difference one by the rear and one under crank? I do not understand this if someone can clear this up it would be great!
Also being from 1952 wouldn't that have been the start of the 300 motors, rather than J which ended in 1949? Found information on another website. Hi oldskool,Serial numbers were located on the bottom hanger bracket unit the end of 1951. In 1952 they were moved to the rear forkend. From 1952 on,the '700' took the place of the '300'motor. The 'J' motor is still a good choice,if it had 7/8' valves and a hi-compression head the J is the same I've got a Schwinn Typhoon(twin straight bar)with a J motor Ray. Does the high compression head have the tall fins on it? Also one has an automatic clutch, are they hard to rebuild if there are problems? They both have the extended brake arm attached, does that mean its a true whizzer frame? Sorry for all the questions but I want to make the right choice as I cannot buy both. Maybe you can post serial numbers, date the frame. Tall fins is the hi compression head.
The auto clutch is good, dog ears sometimes go bad but are not a real deal. They sound like there WZ frames with the brake arms. Either, or sounds like a good deal. Pusher Registered: Posts: 28 Posted I talked to Jay and made my choice! Picking it up sometime this week. Will posted pictures.
Fdok xt xn keygen download youtube. I bought the one with the automatic clutch, though it don't say Bi-matic one it, I believe it is still vintage. Also has carter carb, do they make rebuild kits for them? I will open it up and check it out first as I'm sure it will need cleaned as well as fuel tank. Has funky copper gas line that loops over the top of the frame.
Never seen that before.(getting changed) Well can't wait. Pictures soon. Originally Posted by oldskool I talked to Jay and made my choice! Picking it up sometime this week.

I'm gonna put my order in TOO! YES.pics please.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS So What Do I Have??? Well, if you have a 'Pacemaker', a 'Sportsman' or an 'Ambassador', that is pretty apparent. The 'Sportsman' is a 20' machine with a kick- start engine. It should have a '300S' or later engine. The 'Ambassador' is a 24 inch version of the 'Sportsman'. It should have a 600S engine.
Whizzer Engine Serial Number Lookup
Neither the 'Sportsman' or 'Ambassador' have pedals. All three models used Whizzers own spring fork. (A few early Pacemakers used Schwinn Springers) There are several versions of the 'Pacemaker', but the earliest is a ‘48, and has a 'J' engine. (A few of the very first were equipped with 'H' engines)If there is a gusset plate welded behind the head tube, the frame was made by Whizzer. If there is no gusset plate, Schwinn made the frame.
Ford Engine Numbers
If the seat mounts on a post like a bicycle seat, it is a ‘48. If it mounts to the frame like a motorcycle seat, it is a ‘49 or later. There are other differences. (see the ) If your bike has a Schwinn cantilever frame with two lower toptubes, (or Excelsior, or B.F. Goodrich: -same thing ) check the left rear chain stays and seat stays. If they are flat on the inside, it is probably a WZ507. If they are dimpled and it has a welded on brake arm strap it is an S4.
